The latest release of the Anue 5200 Series Net Tool Optimizer offers an enhanced GUI, with new functionality geared toward helping Enterprise Workgroups collaborate in the most unified, highly productive manner possible.

Enterprise Workgroup Features are currently available in two areas – Security and Knowledge-sharing.

Security Features

TACACS+: For networks that prefer to use automated authentication based on TACACS+, you can now employ your existing authentication solution directly within the Anue Net Tool Optimizer.
Access Control Using Groups: In most enterprises today, Security and Network Operations function as completely disparate groups, both responsible for specific monitoring tools and objectives. Using the Groups functionality, you can now assign permissions to modify and/or connect to specific ports and filters based on group membership. Access Control is designated by a “lock” icon and views are completely customized based on each user’s group-based permissions.

Knowledge-sharing Functions

Filter Library: User-configured filters can be saved and reused by other members of the team, helping teams share knowledge across users to save time and effort. Templates within the Filter Library can also be useful as a starting point for configuring new filters, to speed the process of setup for new tools and/or connections.
Configuration Export and Import: Configuration and topology of all connections and filter settings can be exported to a proprietary format, which can later be imported back into any Net Tool Optimizer to duplicate the setup. This is useful for backup and archiving of historical configurations, and also for establishing standard configurations for key activities like troubleshooting, overnight monitoring, etc.
Real-time Updates Across Users: When multiple users are logged into the same Net Tool Optimizer, the GUI updates in real-time as changes are made by other users. When a user is viewing an object (filter, port, etc.) that is changed elsewhere, a warning pops up to alert him/her of the change.
