Anue Profiler

The Anue Profiler is a free software tool that captures live network conditions, such as delay, packet loss and jitter. With Profiler you can save and analyze this data, and more importantly, replay these captured network conditions through an Anue GEM Network Emulator.

Anue Profiler allows you to confidently test applications, services, and solutions prior to deployment under conditions in the lab which mirror the actual final production network. This reduces risk since issues related to the production network such as delay, packet loss and available bandwidth can be discovered early and before failures.

How It Works
Profiler works as an agent to log conditions from the network and take those log files back to the lab for emulation.

  1. Go to your production network.
  2. Capture delay and packet loss characteristics using the Profiler application.
  3. Take the log files back to the test lab.
  4. Replay the log files through your Anue GEM Network Emulator in order to test your applications/services under the realistic and relevant captured conditions.

Product Features

  • Captures network characteristics including delay, jitter and packet loss
  • Captures network conditions for up to 50 targets
  • Records network conditions for 30 days
  • Provides graphed results for monitoring delay and packet loss over time
  • Saves logged network characteristics for archiving, post capture viewing or replay emulation
  • Includes ability to load network condition logs to an Anue GEM Network emulator for emulating the exact conditions captured from the production network into the test lab
Network logs can be loaded on a per Network Profile basis in the GEM

 Specifications

  • Targets are defined by IP address or DNS name (192.168.40.91 or www.google.com)
  • Capture session can be controlled with manual start/stop or by date/time and duration
  • Pings can be customized by packet length (64 bytes to 1518 bytes) and DHCP (0 – 255) and ping interval down to 100ms
  • Works on Windows XP and Linux platforms
